公園の鉄棒について

つまらない質問かもしれませんが…。よく公園の鉄棒でけ上がりなどを練習します。公園の鉄棒ですと、どうしてもつるつるで滑ってしまうことが多いです。け上がりの連続やともえなど勢いのある技をやりたくても、滑って手が離れてしまうことが怖くてできません。（素手で練習しています）濡れた雑巾でしっかり拭くと、最初は少しいいのですが、すぐに滑り始めます。タンマは手に入れづらいのと、公共の場と言うことで使用はためらわれます。
皆さんも、公園で練習されたことがあると思うのですが、滑らないように工夫されたことはありますか？やってみて、効果があったことがあれば、ぜひ教えて下さい。
